Paddy Kelly

Not to be confused with fellow East Galway composer Father PJ Kelly. Paddy Kelly was a wonderful fiddler and composer who was a friend and colleague of Paddy Fahey and Paddy O'Brien. Indeed legend has it that they used to meet to compare tunes and spurred each other on to out-doing each other.
Some of his best known tunes include The New Custom House, St. Ruth's Bush and Paddy Kelly's Four Part Reel. Like Paddy Fahey, Paddy Kelly's tunes are often just called Paddy Kelly's, such as this one http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/2125
We can find little biographical information about Paddy Kelly so if anyone can add anything, including a photo, we'd be grateful.
