Marcus Hernon (b.1959)

Connemara flute player Marcus Hernon plays with a very distinctive rhythmic style.

He has also gained recognition as a composer following the release of a lovely album of his tunes called
The Grouse in the Heather. In 2011 he published a book with the same name featuring 25 of his tunes. Uniquely, each tune is named after a form of bird.
