L.E. McCullough (b. 1952)

Born in Speedway, Indiana in the USA, tin whistler L.E. McCullough is a prolific composer of tunes in traditional Irish music forms.
In 1998 a book of 61 of his compositions entitled Saint Patrick Was a Cajun was published by Ossian.
His official website now lists 143 tunes in all, which can be viewed and listened to here
McCullough is a major personality on the Irish-American music scene and as a result his tunes are gradually entering the wider tradition. Perhaps his best known tune is Not Safe With A Razor which has been recorded by Lunasa, Deiseal, Trian and Pádraig Rynne.
