John McFadden (1847-1913)

The Mayo born fiddler John McFadden was a good friend of the collector Francis O'Neill in Chicago. Several tunes in O'Neill's famous collections are attributed to him.

These tunes include The Queen of the Fair, McFadden's Handsome Daughter, John McFadden's Favourite and The Glass of Beer.
