Here the composers are listed according to where they were born. Some composers may be more associated with another place they lived, but for logistical reasons we're going strictly by where they were born.
Whilst the list is still being compiled, at this early stage it seems that Galway is the center for Irish tune composition, with Cork and Dublin not too far behind.
The area around East Galway/East Clare/West Tipperary is particularly notable for producing great tune composers.
